Sold it for 700 with bag and fins. Phew. Big muscly guy progressing from learning on a big foamie. I think it will be ok board for him.

Okay Maroubra is usually a series of quick drop peaky beach breaks which isn't Midlengths like the CSIs forte.

Should mention I'm moving to Tugun soon...will be surfing Cabarita and Goldie and Byron

Tbh I don't know enough about surfboard design to know why that matters. I'd be pretty happy doing some of the turns they're doing in that video

It comes and goes big time sometimes. Few years ago was crazy how much sand got swept away. Haven't been stolen since last weekend but the sand had come back a bit recently completed to January

8'1 Carver had been my main board for a decade. I just called it a longboard and didn't really know about mids...... But it's time for a new one... I'm thinking a shorter one as I bought a 9'1 board recently do maybe a 7'4 would be a good balance. Think they've stopped making Chargers haven't they.....

If I can find reviews or clips of those shapers could be keen. Not gonna give someone lots of cash for a punt on a good board

well the CI is designed by a world renowned mid length rider ...or 2 .....whereas the local guy could just be winging it to jump on a trend as far as I know. plus the marketing works....ie the Youtube videos. Im sold on the chilli just based on a 55 second video. 'Thats life.

So if you've ridden it 4 times and it's mint, why are the bad reviews turning you off?

It's mint condition . It's probably a good board. I just need to stick to long/ mids. But fit enough for 6'6 even at 45 litres. I'll get more waves on a 7'4 or similar

I don't suppose anyone's ridden a chilli mid strength and a CI Mid to compare?
