Re: local shapers vs big names..

Had been looking at getting a quad for a while to add to the quiver and dong a bit of research on the various models available from different shapers. I read about a Division Quad in the ASL Boardbible that sounded just what I was after and Peter Daniel is a local as well. Peter couldn't have been b...

Re: Quantifying board volume

Hi Guys I have been having the same thought over the last couple of years and would love shapers to be able to supply board volume measurements. It would be particularly handy in the current envirnment with the new shorter shapes that are so popular. When are just buying another basic hi-per thruste...

Re: Nicks' New Fat-Bat

I had a set of Hayden front fins which roughly correspond with an FCS 5 for volume, but found 'em slightly too big for my liking and stuck in a set of F3s instead, they feel good and fractionally freer but I'm still gonna muck around with that front set, maybe a smaller Vector template. Nic I am us...

Re: What is this all about?

Got to admit that Hutler surfing vid is the funniest thing I have seen in ages.

Watched it more than once and still laugh and sent the link to my mates.

They should post more stuff like that!

Re: boards stolen.....

Worse than the oss of any property is the feeling that someone has violated your home and might do so again. After the one and only (I hope) home break I have had never slept soundly again for at least six months, everytime the house creaked at night you imagine it is some other turd breaking in. An...

The old newspaper version of Tracks with the Captain and a REAL letters section was the best ever, so many good memories.

Not like the glossy rag full of ads it has become now!

Re: Peak Climax Front Zip steamer?

On a similar note I currently have an O'Neill 3/2 steamer but towards the middle end of winter last year, found it starting to get a bit cold with this baby..

Not sure if it is the low body fat levels or just getting old.

What do you guys wear around Sydney in the dead of winter 3/2 or 4/3??

Re: Webber Afterburner

I had a PU Fatburner with the deep doubles for small waves, went like shit!

But that is only my opinion.

Bought a JS Sonic which has been ideal for me in small Sydney beach breaks

Nice looking board and an unreal spray job.

Would also be intersted in giving the board a fling if it gets to Sydney

Tracks with the odd Sufers Path and Surfing World thrown in for me.

Also think back with lots of nostalgia to the old Tracks with Capatain Goodvibes, them were the days!
