Ti Tree solid with a lot of wide washthroughs, but some great waves in amongst them. Crowd, I would loosely term manageable. But still a bit frustrating/dangerous at times. Nasho's? About as good as it gets. Crowd? Stupendous in all aspects. Think of a number. Double it, then multiply it by 100. Ri...

Thanks Mark.. Yeah that cyclone looks good. it looks like its gonna get quite solid up your way...Im starting to wonder if i should have gone up..But a few nice lefts around here should start working so its all good. Maybe even be big enough for a certain reef or rivermouth down the coast too. That...

Ok im thinking about it but ill go to swaylocks and read up on shaping. Ive shaped a few bodyboards but no fishes etc before. I also need a planer, sander and shaping bench... but I think ill do it.. Seeing as i expect it to be flat a lot over the next few months.. I think i will allow myself a long...

Ill think about that thanks Mark. The Metallica is a bit short and narrow in the tail...I would think about making a fish out of it though. cheers Go Onnn, do it... The tail outline can pretty much stay the same, you just have to blend in the nose curves, we did ours from the wide point, 4' front o...

Hey Mark, good for you Yamba's a great area, love it there. I've just been doing boards for myself, and those lucky enough to ask at the right time (i.e. just when I'm about to make a few for myself). Ironically guys like Spotter are the best guys to do deals with, he drove more business to me than...

Good luck with it Skid, but the right people who actually give back tend to be thin on the ground. Problem is their mates who they are recommending your boards to, also want them cheap as chips. In the end, how much is your time worth? Out of all the people I done deals for with Elixir, maybe 2 of ...

Have also done a small step deck hybrid board (sub 7') to keep it a bit more nose light. Pretty subtle though unless you run your hand across it, yeah baby. Fairly flat rocker through the snoze and paddles really well I am told. Guy liked it and wants a second version. Like so... http://img243.imag...

Some boardmakers seem to go for the arch a fair bit in bigger-surf boards. Some surfers don't like 'em 'cause if your foot slips down the tail, you definitely know about it! Did one on a fairly ‘normal’ shortie, well ‘normal’ by my standards  kept on clipping my boney bloody shin on it. Next....

Hmm dont know why i posted this idiotic thread but it was just a joke... I actually like the bottom one but do you think its repairable? Its taken in quite a bit of water... Its the easiest single fin i have to ride backhand and pretty smooth through turns. I have a few other single fins aswell but...

matt penn = insight. they crew there are a good bunch of guys who know their stuff and have always looked after me. matt makes great all-rounders. cool, good to have a local shaper who you can get top boards from. more guys need to stick with the local guys and stuff the pop-outs and mass produced ...

help sell a few to friends for me You said selling to friends, right there. I'm sure your offer is ok, you just need to clarify your expectations when you're treading on sensitive ground. no.. your saying "selling to friends".. your interpreting what he is saying incorrectly. Sheesh, give the guy a break! In a world of mass produced pop-outs, someone trying to promote their own product (insert caveat - I hope you don't source your boards from the 3rd world mate) in his local area deserves at least some credit for giving it a go. thanks and no , definitely not from 3rd w...

Good on ya pridmore! I see this as a 'you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours', you are supporting the industry in the hope of the industry supporting you. Good things can only happen from something like this- esp if your borads are good. Also imagine if you helped a young gun go onto big things...
