Re: What happened to the egg?
Seems a few years ago the whole retro/alternative surf craft thing kicked off with eggs and fish both being seen in a favourable light. Now fish (in all their varied forms) seem to be the board of choice for those looking to experiment and/or go longer or shorter than their regular board. But what ...

Re: shaper
hell i could shape a surfboard, and i reckon it would look just fine to a most people...but would it go? If they float, they go Spotty. Fascinates me why more people don’t try, you might just surprise yourself. Most people just couldn’t be bothered trying, not that it doesn’t have it’s complications...

Yep I agree. Its horses for courses. That's why you can'y say that custom is the only way to go. Nothing personal pridmore. That's the great thing about these forums. We can all have a healthy debate and we don't all have to agree. I myself get custom boards. That said I have relationships with sev...

pridmore sorry but B sh*t custom boards are the only way to go. In fact I think for the average surfer who only gets one or two boards here and there the need for a custom board is very overated. The topic of this post should be proof of that. Unless a person is able to form a good relationship wit...

Thanx for the info mate. Yeah I was going to trade in the supatwin for a another smaller version, maybe a 6'2", 2 3/8 thick from Marks shop but Ive been eyeing off Gregs twinny for a while now and thinking of going down that path. While the supatwin is good I thought Marks traditional twinnys gos b...

Re: Webber Twinny
Hey guys and girls. Was wondering if anyone here has ridden, owned, or heard feedback about Greg Webbers twinny model. It looks like an afterburner setup as a twinny with his own model twin fins on the side, which isnt a bad thing as the afterburners go great, but just wanted to hear other peoples ...

Re: What's wrong with my fish?
I'm 170 cm 64 Kg (5.6 ft and 141 lbs) I got a fish shaped for me a few months ago by a very reputable Sydney shaper. It's 5'11" x 20&3/4" x 2&1/2 It's a modern style fish which surfs like a standard shorty. It's a great paddler but I was surprised that I had trouble picking up speed on it. I though...

Marcus isnt sure if this board is a collecters item..It could be One of the first Shanes ever made, it seems like the resin was painted on.. An older surfer told me it was a worthless pop out however this is a guy who bargains people down for old MP's etc before reselling them for a bunch. If this ...

Re: a few of my favourite fins.....
Wondering is anyone has thoughts on favourite fins ( & set-ups in general) for small waves? I have a 9'3" G&S dane wilson model that goes really well with its stock fin but even better with a Fluid Foils chopper, as long as the waves are waist high at best. have yet to try the FF hatchet although i...

bloody clubbies, they have to realize that the beach is not just for them, they always think they can set up flags anywhere and surfers have to just move.I had my board forcibly taken from me when i was surfing there once and almost drowned trying to swim in (solid 6 ft ba) when i was 16, funny thin...

Never done a kneeboard and would love to have a go. anyone out there keen or can give me a ...
