Equipment appeal
I went to a pre-Xmas party last year and met a couple (Ken & Di) whose go it is to bring down to Sydney from Brewarrina a bunch of Aboriginal kids for a taste of the northern beaches. The kids' surf awarness is obviously pretty close to zero but according to Ken their enthusiasm is off the Richter. ...

Re: the little girly booger environmental vandals from DY ...
This thread was developing quite nicely along such tangents as organic veggie growing etc and doomed to die a natural death until Tasker had to put his 2 cents worth in. I'm tipping 40 pages and it may even be sufficient bait to get Smntl back on the job. Also, let's hear it from DY's next superhero...

Over northern beaches about 25 years ago . ..

If I can get filming rights, I'll tow the old "Adrian Curlewis'" down to the realsurf BBQ this weekend.

Newport Pool is crap, especially high tide with a fair swell ... tried swimming 50m the other day and it was like being in a washing machine. There was, however, a fcking classy looking wave breaking about 200m out from it. Wonder more people don't go for it.

Ricky,
what body tye are u?
If you're a squat, stocky, low-browed Neaderthal bred for colder climes then by all means go out in your profiles if you want ...
If however you're a Masai (long, lean , gracile) then rubber up to the max.

Admire your fortitude Zinga addressing this cynical crowd with some very vaild (IMO) points. Sometimes I'd wax-up lyrical, paddle out, look around me and think the sparkling insides of them tubes were straight out of Aladdin's Cave. Most times, however, it was pure ego. Loved showing off. Fcuk was I...
