Couldn’t believe how close to the water they built on the Eastern Side and Eastern North Shore when we drove around. One pad was built right next to the water with about a mtr drop. You could dive in. There were a couple of small islands just offshore but it seemed crazy.

Interesting to drag up an old quote about this. I guess I may have lived down here slightly longer than I have up North. That gives me the ability to compare the two climates….no?
Its a bit silly to say acclimatising to a more temperate climate means forgetting what a hot ones like.

Don’t think I’ve mentioned Double Island Point before Wyre.

Might just sit off the coast for weeks and pump swell into SE Queensland. It’s happened before.

Had so many great surfs at The Pass and further down at Clark’s over the years……plus some crowded stinkers.

I remember ages ago there was a big hole right around the rock to the Carpark.
No beach at all.

I saw some footage that had a pan shot near the end and there were what looked like 10 to 15 jet skis ferrying guys back out and dropping them into waves.They appeared to drop the guy on the wave and go in front rather than turning back out.

Saw a great bit of old footage of Kong in Morocco. Land footage was sketchy but his surfing in overhead pointsurf was up there with Current at J Bay. Worth watching.

What’s the biggest surf related blue people have actually seen at the beach? Mine is ages ago at South Bondi. There was a family of rough looking locals who all looked like mutant versions of Nick Carroll. Names escape me. One of them would often sling shit about yuppies in the surf. Long gone now. ...

Just thinking how it would go down at work if someone started riffing on the likelihood of someone having an affair with another much younger workmate because they are working together. Particularly along the lines of it being inevitable and everyone should wake up because it’s always been like that...
