a mate of mine and his crew were paddling from Longy to Palmy yesterday (sunday) morning in training for the Molokai.
about 10mins into the paddle he found that he was being followed by a police chopper after someone rang up and said they spotted a windsurfer that had gone down...

The guy who dodged the first wave in the set must hate watching that footage...
No sympathy from the 'mates' on the boat! haha

Yes! I keep getting cut-off after successfully streaming for about 30 seconds.
Maybe high traffic? Or just too much money/time spent on the ads and promos of Quik gear...

I know clubbies, rowing, kayaking etc have minimum requirements like weight,...

I don't mind that these big fish are kept in the tank - they seem to be on a pretty good wicket if you ask me - eat like a king and all you have to do is a few stupid tricks.

IMO he has the competition side of surfing down-pat. Seems to know how to surf for the judging.
As long as it doesn't turn out to be a 'Cooly kids' take over. Surely someone from another part of the world can surf it as good as them.

Im loving SW at the moment, so much so that I have just subscribed. I think the writing is better, the photo quality so much better and it might just be me but are there less ads in a SW as compared to your ASL, Tracks etc? Couple of really well written stories following Mick and Joel in the latest ...

Agreed Jimi, way too much rubber. No need for anything longer than a springy this time of year. I only recently discovered the brilliance of wettie top (1mm) for the early session this time of year.
