They look like a great board for good waves, points and reefs etc. doubt you'd ever get them outta second gear in average beachies You think? Stu Kennedy has looked terrible on them at reefs and hasn't really looked great on bigger points - looks best under his feet on sub 3 foot point or beachies?...

Went through this dilema last year - it really depends on their ability as much as size. I got 2 boards that were for made for kids a fair bit older (but more skilled) thinking it would be fine, but the unstability of such a narrow board has seen it be a difficult transition! Width is their friend.
