ok. so i'm going to spruce this old board up with a new life with some artwork. the top's all masked and ready to go for colours (pooey 70's colours of course).
but i'm now seriously considering what Roy said about the fin. and thinking that while i'm going to all this effort, i might as well get the fin taken out and the bottom of the board refurbished, and put in a new 2+1 set up (then later do the graphics on the bottom)
so Shearer, Roy, or any other single-fin aficionados out there. what would be a good 2+1 set up for this board? any advice? (base size, depth, rake, area, tip, stiffness, etc, etc,) or any 2+1 combo/kits out there from FCS, futures, etc?
it's a 6'11 x 20 x 3 (and beefy/foiled as hell) and will be for bigger days (6foot plus, raw groundswell long period stuff)
is something like this going to be ok?
