Gday all
Im thinking about incorporating my waterproof mp3 player into my torch helmet. but cant think of what music to put on, what to leave off etc.
whether to only press play when a big set arrives, and that kinda thing.
if you could listen to music while you surf, what would it be?
metalica? foo fighters? frente, 2dayfm perhaps?
thoughts?
all i know for certain is that at some stage i am going to be smashed ragdolled by a wave and have some song playing

Big band music and bieber are the two essentials which immediately spring to mind.

marcus^^
you seem to have given this a fair bit of thought.
im not sure what music anyone would want to listen to while surfing.
i personally would find it annoying, i love music like many others.
but surfing listening to music, i dont know

just for something different
you know when you hear a great song and you imagine it to mind surfing a wave, like that but for real.
not going to make a regular habit out of it.

^^ maybe its a natural progression, the ipod has made taking music with you anywhere possible.
tow in surfing, looking down the line on 30footer

music may help with the focus, not sure as ive never done it.
hun dreds of songs for that scenario, you mentioned metallica something fast and loud.
ive tried wearing my ipod when riding, i really did not like it. i prefer to hear everything working together, and i suppose i like being with my own thoughts.
if i was going to have a go at listening to music while surfing i would give classical a go first probably

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

good question... I love my iPod and use it daily ... particularly when my wife wants to talk to me.. but.. I reckon when you ride a wave ... particularly a solid one.. you are so focussed you wouldn't register anything...I have ridden waves before with serious foot injuries and whilst up and riding didn't feel a thing but the minute I kicked off ...agony
I was actually talking to Roy about building an iPod receptor into my board ...he swears by listening to music when he surfs ... apparently Enya does it for him
