Nowhere near as good as Steve’s neck of the woods but plenty of fun sized nor east swell hitting the banks.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Did baby duties all day so got to have my ol’ fave Satdy night daylight savings sunset point sesh.
Fun as. Water clear and toasty warm. Lots of dolphins, couple turtles.
Couple beers to finish.

Sounds nice. No surfing but I went down to collaroy with the family for a late swim and dinner. The tide was the lowest I've ever seen. I got to check out all the bits of reef I've come into contact with over the years

I’ve never seen a wave worth surfing at that beach, Ricky.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I’ve seen sets approach thinking it’ll be a good one this time and then when they arrive they’re all shit still.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Takes a massive swell to make "the roy" work. There used to be a nice left-hander off the "block" just after it was installed. Thats the storm water drain just north of the pool. Other novelty waves nearby are "brown water" in the basin and the "kick" behind the pool ... again, big swell needed to make them surfable.
The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I am a longboarder so collaroy has been a regular haunt over the years especially when everywhere else is maxxed out. Iis also a good place to hide when youre a little unfit and feeling lazy.
It should be the perfect longboard wave but I've had more frustrating surfs there than good ones. Trying to surf a 20 heat there in my reef riders days was a nightmare

Seen it properly good once, everywhere else was 10 foot+, Kick looked 4-5 foot but dominated with mals going straight.
Had a crack at a slightly bigger wave just to the south, got my arse handed to me in a big way.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Fuck Ricky. I’d worked through all the racist stuff and was at peace. And now you throw this out there? Fuck.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Happy new year to you too jimmy

Don’t let Jimbo mess with your head Ricky. You are obviously an on point hipster type.

Not at Lady Elliot Island.................from the news
Rough seas caused a seven-metre vessel on a surfing trip to Lady Elliot Island to overturn about 65km north-east of Bundaberg. A Bundaberg LifeFlight rescue helicopter located the boat’s seven occupants clinging to the hull after their emergency beacon activated about 5pm on Saturday.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

I had my first fun surf in a week or more today. Every other day I’ve been out has been pretty shite. Nice conditions and I nabbed about 8 set waves from the crowd.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
that must be a bit frightening having a kid or partner have an anaphylactic reaction to jack jumper ants.
I think we used to call them meat ants. big flat nests that look like clay tennis courts?
been surfing the local river mouth the last few days. distinctly average conditions. somehow it all looks much better from the point than when you get out there. saw a guy about to go out on greenough-style spoon when I went for a run along the beach. is it possible to catch waves on those if you are not GG?
