Re: Just general surfing stuff
Some of the streets in San Francisco are fcuken mental, they are the reason why in California you need to turn your wheels to the gutter when parking to prevent it rolling or you get a fine. I can only imagine the early days of cars with shitty brakes in that city, they would have been like missiles flying down some of those streets

There are no “hills”in Sth. Oz, we don’t stand for that shit.
Next thing you know there’ll be safety checks on cars.

Anyone used one of those fcs box fin to fcs 1 adaptors before?
Work sufficiently?
Want to try different fin setups and I figure easier to thrusterise or twinny with trailer with fcs fins than having to get a bunch of different size box fins.

Why not get a smaller box fin?
Re: Just general surfing stuff
On this page a bit down.
I think the front boxes will be too far fwd for straight up twinny.

I've probably got a handshaped glass thruster-sized single fin under the house in Brisbane I could send you.
I tried the same thing and it didn't work.

Thanks boo, I'll probably just keep surfing it as a widowmaker for the time being.

Re: Just general surfing stuff
Try experimenting with the main single fin- lots of nice singles out there.
get a sexy, inclusive rainbow fin.

Re: Just general surfing stuff
This what I got at the moment
6.5, 7, 7.5
The 7.5 doesn't have much area and is very flexy. It grovels pretty well forehand but I spin out on backhand bottom turns as soon as there's any power in the waves.
The 7 with some mini sides has been going really well at the point, all very stiff fins.
Haven't used the 6.5 yet as it's in another board. Probably the most balanced fin in terms of shape and flex of the 3. The futures side boxes have ruled out most of my side bites to go with it.
It's not quite big enough to match with the mini sides I think.

Might take you up on that at some stage.
What does bamboo core do compared to honeycomb hex core?
The only ones I've tried are Machado thrusters and I hated them, but I'd say that would be more to do with the inside foil than the bamboo.

I gather Loof buys heaps of kit and then ditches it because he doesn’t make him surf any better
The CPT Fin 7/12” I found has a similar rake to that 6” one. Almost identical to the one on my mal.
