I tentatively ventured out for a surf today. First real exercise in 3 weeks due to covid and first surf in months for many reasons. Very low expectations re my fitness and timing, but i was pleasantly surprised. I think the yoga I'd been doing before I was sick really paid off. Will definitely keep it up.
Got a few fun waves on a shifty bank with a wobbly run out tide. Cant complain. I'm back

kinda anyway

Good to hear, Ricky. Went for a drive to Manly with Junior for something to do. Marginal surf wise but it was handling the wind direction better. Got a couple of okay ones………and an excellent park in a quiet street near the beach

Some tasty aframe bowls yesterday on a mid-gong beachie. Maroubra today, bit flubbery but clean and peeling nicely

Alex - fair bit of size in the bomb sets that came through. Inside runners were fun too. Southerly was up but was behaving.
First surf post-COVID for me and I wasn't too knackered, just got a bit of cramping, pretty happy!

A reef at Torquay. Fun until 3 old blokes on SUP’s came out. Talk about boomer central. Every carpark in the area is full of blokes all 60 plus in brand new cars with an SUP, a mid-length or a ski. It’s obviously where all the boomers from Geelong and Melbourne have gone to die. Shouldn’t they be playing golf? Quite depressing really.

Fucking SUPs are taking over up here too.
Yeah. I know I've said it before. 🤪
But they're not boomers. More the next gen down.

Crappy phone photo. Oily glassy chest high peaks with only two other blokes. Classic crisp Victorian autumn day. Can’t complain.
