Re: Where did you surf today ?
Southerly hit this morning. Glad I snuck one in yesterday. That was my best surf of the week…..or the one I enjoyed the most.

Some chunky, albeit slightly onshore, sets still with bugger all crowds about.

Bondi worse than it looked. Some potential around though.
Anyone see that Tim Bonython footage of everyone getting repeatedly drilled at chunky Maroubra from a week ago?

Bronte fcuking crowded. Some nice looking waves but bugger all chance to snare one.

Good where I was and low crowds plus easy parking

Re: Where did you surf today ?
It was a toss up between sketchy Bondi and much better looking Bronte. Everyone appeared to make the same choice.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Nice day so went for a bash before the tide swallowed everything. Actually scored a few waves amongst the pack before it got too crowded and full. After my second wave I got into a stupid battle with this guy who thought because he was a loud mouthed wanna be Alpha male on a minimal he could snake me on the next take off. Our battle resulted in me claiming the wave but being pushed so far over to claim it that neither of us could make it. Very low stakes.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Mate and I had one of those paddling battles on Wednesday.
It's a "thing" with us.
Last time I was on the outside paddling for a left and instead of taking one more paddle stroke, I grabbed his rail and pushed him back of the wave.
This time it was a right and he was on the outside. We both caught it and I had the speed to catch him up.
Just about to push him off and realised we'd both turned off the back of the wave.
Ya gotta have fun.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Nabbing a few in ridiculously crowded conditions has a bit of extra pleasure but I ended up sitting right in the middle of this little pack of various mal and foamy riders during a huge lull. That was it for me. Have to be philosophical to go surfing down here at the moment.

Got the Grootlets out on some rented soft-top longboards down at Santa Cruz. They had a blast, especially the boy who told me to stop pushing him onto waves after a few as he wanted to paddle onto them himself. Little fcuker did it well and was up on his feet straight away being cheered on by the locals.
