Re: Where did you surf today ?
Hit The Bra for a change with the NE Swell. Great conditions. Looked like it was going to be good but even just after low tide the peaks tended not to break. Got one really good larger take off but some Brazzo snaked me as it rolled in. Thought he might have been a local so I pulled off after the first section. Then heard them jabbering in their typical Brazzo manner to each other. Should have stayed on.

Plenty of swell today with excellent conditions. Bondi hypercrowded and missing most of the swell. Tamabreaking way, way out. Saw a guy snare a couple of big rolling lefts. Bronte also way out with a smashing big peak. Quite a few people getting flogged and a long paddle in.

Same at Manly but seems to have now dropped off - crowded and a few weekend warriors were struggling with the swell. A few waves went begging for a good surfer.

I've never had much time for old codgers who go on about this and that was way better in the 60s or whatever. Well I like hearing their bs but I've never believed it. The last two days have been full of evidence to the contrary, 8-10’ ledges all morning on Friday then perfect 6’+ barrelling lefts for three and half hours this morning, with just my lil brother for company, at a Sydney beach in full sight of everyone who woulda looked. Switching up boards, 7’4” six channel yesterday and 6’4” round pin today, then a 6’1” this arvo til dark, still fcuken pumping.
Neither of those first two spots were surfed in the 60s or whatever and you didn't have boards like that. Fcuk the past embrace the present.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I would just stick to....had a really good surf today. Nobody surfed there in the sixties. Most people won’t surf there now so it’s irrelevant. You just won an Ironman comp and your brother is an exworld champ who charges ridiculous tow in waves. The places most people surf are obviously way morecrowded today by and large.
However since Ivebeen surfingheaps lately Ivebeen really enjoying it and it’s made me think of other times this has happened.
Conclusion: I’ve had great surfs generally and in Sydney in particular when I’ve had the luxury of surfing when people are at work.

see this is what I fcuken love about Realsurf, you have a couple of epic days of surf, it feels deeply inspiring and a bit life changing, it sets your brain fizzing, you try to begin the process of explaining how this feels like the great gift of surfing, that it plunges you into the moment where past and future vanishes and you're free to experience the sport and the world at its fullest and most intense.

AJ said the Bra had more people on it than the Farm Paddle out. Sounds like a nightmare.
What an amazing couple of days. Point was clean as a whistle today and uncrowded. Not sure why. Anyway the AB six channel flew across those waves, got me into two barrels at speed (one shut down, the other I snuck out of) and had me smiling from ear to ear.
Yesterday was heavy, big deep water bombie left. Tide was too high but man! Such a blast.
I
Re: Where did you surf today ?
/\ the bombie close to where you live? If so, saw it yesterday on the way down south. Looked heavy on takeoff, then shouldered off quickly. Also looked at headies and sandon on the way south, both were cooking but packed out.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yep, I reckon you saw it at high tide, as it got lower there were some crackas. Headies by all accounts was a circus
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I love the look of the right off that bombie. Every time I’ve checked it but there’s been a stack of current running. And it looks like you’d end up in no mans land and swept around to the next cove if you didn’t scratch your way inside in time
