Watching the AFL on 7mate. They keep advertising that surfing is gonna be on 7 this year. Steve, Nick? Surfing on free to air this year?
Chanel 7 weather report came from the Vic. wave pool on tonight’s news. Coincidence?

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

My surf-obsessed Swiss mate has been frothing on it for years.
I tried to point out they have mountains.

Meanwhile Otway is riding a man made (well, enhanced), river wave in Austria.
One of several apparently.

The CT pros are getting out of quarantine today.

And tomorrow is gonna be Sydney's best day of NE swell and offshore winds in maybe a year.

Down south will be larger than Sydney, looking at here this evening I reckon maybe 4-6' plus Syd, slowly dropping through the day, and maybe a foot or so on that south of Wollongong.

Very sea-statey, ie some larger but shorter-walled waves and the length and value in the mid sized ones.

Water is a deep brown here.

And lots of dead animals floating around for Narks I’m guessing

Pretty clean at Bondi. Killer rip today. Still nice little banks but I’m getting a bit stiff and sore from so many surfs. Always start to cease up after three days. Might do a few stretches before hitting it again this arvo.

this swiss wavegarden video is pretty fun to watch: https://fb.watch/4t1YJ-5N66/. i find josema odriozola nice to listen to - a semi-mechanical, semi-mellifluous kind of tone.

Watched a bit of precontestfootagefrom Newie. Fcuking the Brazilians were giving it a bash. I really like how Italo surfs. Good venue for the comp. plenty of natural viewing platforms. I’m sure the town is stoked.

The town seems stoked. Looks to be about 120 spectators. Of course, a lot of those are possibly friends and relations of the competitors, WSL staff and passersby on the way to somewhere else
