I've only just noticed how tailored www.surf-forecast.com are for each break in the MR area. How are they doing it?
They get a feed from Magic Seaweed

They seem pretty accurate for the breaks around MR. Swell size varying by up to 60% along a 40k coastline

Have you cross-referenced the calls with reality across the breaks for a significant period of time?

if not, then you're guessing too.

About 5 breaks over about 10 days, but I've known of the differences over 100s of days spread over many years, so it's just confirming what I already knew - it's just that Surf Forecast is getting it right that's news for me as I haven't surfed here for decades.

Oh, and it's still consistently incorrect for the Perth breaks that I surf.

Hi Joep

We have various forms of outdoor speakers. They can often be found on or near soapboxes, grinding axes ... from memory, batteries aren't included and the volume varies significantly ...

Have you surfed the Sand Engine?

I've seen a lot of presentations from Delft about it but don't have any accounts of what the breaks are actually like to surf.

Well it's going to be packed from now on, now that it's gotten a mention on Realsurf.
Just look at what's happened to Wales since godsavethequeen started spruiking it.

Yeah. But I heard someone say that there’s no windows in Wales. I’ll be buggered if I’ll ever live in a country with no windows. Fuck that for a joke.
