to be fair there has been some advancement in the design.
Yeh, can’t imagine there were too many single to double concave mids “back in the day”.

I’m curious about Brock’s boards. He still shaping?

If I can find reviews or clips of those shapers could be keen. Not gonna give someone lots of cash for a punt on a good board

Dunno about anyone else but my old 7'11" Carver had been going strong for 12 or more years. He was making them well before I got mine. I've got a Carver Fish as well that fits the bill at 7'. Might have to give them a whirl again soon.

carvers are great.

Brocky has been shaping tri-plane hulls (single to double concave ) since the late 60''s.

his bottom contours are insane.

the goofy in here is a pal of mine.

I see him riding that mid-length twin a lot.

I think it's a 7'0".

he rips on it.

8'1 Carver had been my main board for a decade. I just called it a longboard and didn't really know about mids...... But it's time for a new one... I'm thinking a shorter one as I bought a 9'1 board recently do maybe a 7'4 would be a good balance. Think they've stopped making Chargers haven't they.... Anyways probably too exxy .....although I do have some bitcoin that could convert it these days

Those twin pins look so good under good surfers feet, but so, so, so shit when kooks ride them after watching instagram videos.

Mate of mine has been surfing there for the last couple of weeks.
He's a Brisso but his daughter lives nearby and she's about 10 months pregnant.. 😱

Says there's a lot more exposed rock there than he's seen before.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

It comes and goes big time sometimes. Few years ago was crazy how much sand got swept away. Haven't been stolen since last weekend but the sand had come back a bit recently completed to January

thought that Chilli looked shit.

half the board is out of the water at all times. terrible rocker.
Tbh I don't know enough about surfboard design to know why that matters. I'd be pretty happy doing some of the turns they're doing in that video

one of that ten pack jumping off last night had a channel twin but a 6'4" version.

absolutely shredding on it but I think he was genuine ripper.

I liked that surfing. It was high performance for those boards for sure.

yeah, very much so.

and the major diff is that the board still flat out trims like a mofo unlike that Chilli which has the front half of the board flapping around in the breeze like a half sucked cock.

good mid has to have that flat out trim speed otherwise its poor design.
