This on the wall of a coffee shop in Ala Moana Shopping Centre.
They gave me a filthy enough look while I was taking the pics.
Could never have got close enough to nick it.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

I musta missed something here. It was Braithy who asked if it was a Lazer Zap. It was baddy (whoever the Fcuk he is) who started throwing insults around in a perfectly reasonable discussion.
You should know better old fella.

Nah I just think Braithy hadn't seen a real Laser Zap and the lightning bolt confused him. Perhaps Baddy was shooting at breathy for some infringement real or imagined at Angourie (I've drawn a really long bow on this one).
Definitely a WTF speculation

Yeah I've never seen a lazor zap in person. I was born in '75. My old man still talks about them to this day. He grew up in miami & surfed with Drouyn, rabbit and all them out at the point, went to school with drouyn etc. He doesn't really surf anymore. He's body is charred from the sun. He had 46 skin cancers cut out in one session. so many they put him in hospital and just knocked him out. He's an avid body surfer ... but still to this day. Add one glass of wine or beer and the lazor zap stories come thick and fast. I'm always looking out for them. Anyway I digress.
As for Baddy. He's okay. He's a protective old bastard about his waves in this part of the world. I respect that. They're worth protecting ...

Well cleared up Braithy, yep your stretch of turf needs some protecting, enjoy. The lazor zaps were the real McCoy and his nuggets are a furtherance of the zap program. They were whackable little devils, the difference in my mind was I could probably have done a speed line drive at pipe back then on the lightning bolt, but I would have got smashed on the zap.
Rode pipe in 69, one season at glory, did basic, did OK .
Where people go on pipe now is unbelievable to anyone who rode in those times.
I'm on the bench as a certified old fart of reasonable capability

Geez, Braithy. You make me feel old. I was surfing Kirra while Drouyn was at Burleigh.
Mind you I only ever saw him down our way once in 64-65. He got a pretty rough reception out at the point and didn't come back for a while.
Guys like Graham Black and Eddie Sawden were more my local contemporaries
