Post by mustkillmulloway » Sun Nov 23, 2008 5:33 pm

first surf today

very hard duckdive

very hard turn....u basicly got get down low and drag your arm in the water

DOES NOT HANDLE STEEP DROPS

plus side....it catches waves easy and trims over flat sections

but basiclly

it's a mutt....mutts a great word and very under used

p.s the textured deck hurt my nipples

I think you should always give a board a few chances, sometimes they come good.It must look the goods otherwise you wouldnt have bought it.Anyway tell everyone that its unreal and you love it and then stick it in your local shop and say its a forced sale.

Maybe it will go better when you get rid of the sail and start using a paddle

i got it at the tip  it's a old...OLD....windsurfer

thirty dollars

i just like the irony of out surfing sup riders on there $2000 boards :P

plus....i use a boat oar....which works for me

it surfs like a heap :x .....bad rails

but i do admit some enjoyment in figuring out how ride it and scoring a few waves when no other craft could have 8)

p.s plus i pulled three muddys out my trap today....i like surf craft with duel uses  8)

p.p.s...now i'm a sup rider....u can all come out the closet...it's officailly cool

whats the go with windy days....i ask fellow supers....are they best avoided :?:

you might catch more than crabs in the rivers up there, especially with a trail of blood from your bleeding nipples from the textured deck...sand it off mate, its probably sugar or sand, thats what the sailboard guys used to add to the finish coats....ouucchhhh.... :o

Yep, the sugar deck on my windsurfer sanded my ankle to the bone once back in the 90's when i tried to surf small Lennox on it. serves me right. It got infected and swelled up like a bastard too. Its still under the house, its an 8'1" mad dog pintail single fin, double concaves, in fact i sailed it last summer and it still surfs well. I sailed that bitch at Ho'okipa (Maui) in 92. ah the memories. I'v been looking around a paddle, i'll look pretty stupit with a double ended canoe paddle ay.
