Few guys here ride softies religiously. It’s clear they could at least ride a decent mid or long board but, are dedicated to the softie in all conditions.
Love that. Competent surfers emasculated.
It's like they're eunuchs and the waves are my harem.

Nothing to see here, just a standard topofthepage. Move along now.

Great style on that crumbling man made wave. Checked out his boards and they look great.

Looks like a nightmare to ride
Yeah, looks like shit. Sliding out and catching rails, left, right and centre.
I’m not posting links but the Tolhurst Mid 6 looks fcuking fantastic and if I wasn’t a cheapskate and actually lived somewhere that had serious waves I couldn’t think of a better midlength.

I’ll have look. I just read your comments on his longboards. Harley I, his team rider looks amazing on his boards.

Yeah, I’m a big fan of his boards. I was actually mentioning the Mid 6 last night to my mate at Lennox. Hadn’t seen him in years and when I got to his place at Easter he had a Tolhurst midlength he used all the time. Loved the thing.

Mid 6 is a six channel rounded pin quad.
I think you can get PU Tolhurst shapes a bit cheaper than the Thunderbolt ones.

Mid 50’s midlength. The only short board I ride now is the Fred Rub when it’s totally essential and a Lost Psycho Killer in spring/summer. Heading to mainly mids. That board you described sounds nice.

Billy made me the best longboard I've ever ridden, except for his personal rider that he most generously offered on loan to me for a few days, that thing was off its tits good ... amazing shaper, one of the best.

I lucked onto one of these on The Gumtree.
Pretty rockered and deep double concaves.
Going well so far.

My old Tolhurst fish has been amazing. Rode one of his longboards while I was in Kauai at Hanalei too.
I’ve got a Muzza Burton 7’2” Fat Bullet that I never ride. It’s really fast but not enough rocker.
He describes it as a fish with an extended nose and tail. Kind of get what he was driving at after riding it in Bali.
It looks pretty gunny but prefers a wave like Balangan to say Ulus. It is very fast though. Interesting bottom contours

Seen more than a few guys surfing well around here with a Tolhurst “Moe”model.
That thunderbolt tech is pretty $$$ though.
Must be good because they don’t pop up 2nd hand very often.

I just checked 1745 for a mid. That’s the most expensive I’ve seen

A mate in bali got a 7' from Jim about a month ago and has been having a good time with it on the Bukit breaks
