First new boogie since '08.
Got a 2014 41.5 NMD Ben Player parabolic today.
Had short session on a local reef this arvo barreling 2-3fts.
Haven't ridden a lid that much since I started surfing in '08.
Stoked to be back. Heading to Indo next year and will be taking a lid for sure.

Parabolic $350. Work paid for $300. Stoked.
It felt fast when I surfed it this arvo at Shark Island, but anything would've felt fast out there this arvo as it was about as good as it gets. I wasn't taking bombs though.
Des at Emerald, and the lads at BSC in Narrabeen rave about the durability. There are a few of last years models around at great prices. I'd go for it. If you get the PP core it will last even longer.

I read a few of the old posts and to be honest I reckon I've given the boogers a hard time myself over the years. Never again though.Karlos wrote:There was a time when smnmntll would be all over this like a rash.

I started out on the lid the moved to stand up 10 years ago. All I can think about now is how many barrels I've missed out on because of my decision to focus on getting better at stand up surfing.
I'm more an advocate now of "horses for courses" and with a reefs like the island around I want to score as many tubes as I can before I kick the bucket.

Karlos, we both know, and we're possibly the only ones , that smnmntll of the Blue Mountains is but a pale reflection of his predecessor, smnmntl the Great, ruler of the booger thread in the halcyon realsurf days of yore..Karlos wrote:There was a time when smnmntll would be all over this like a rash.

Do you ride a boogie board, or do you surf?
