finally some time off coincided with some swell, (got rained out of work site) hit nulla to find the wind had swung.
very inconsistent swell with sudden pulses of sets then nothing for 20 minutes. island looked good but was too low and side shore. patch had a few, point was crud.

looks like good fun before the wind turned seedy, i didnt catch it when it was offshore and had to deal with onshore winki
but was ok i guess

never underestimate the power of the island, even when its 3 feet it can send you to hospital!

You have to take into account the closeout takeoff, chopes has such big blowouts cuz there is 50-100 meterss of wave behind the pocket and when the lip is that thick there is only one place that air is going, so when u got the big closeout take of like in these piccies its remarkable how much pressure gets shot out take 9 for example, nice pic btw
