I would think that if the board was pointing straight up into ya gut, you'd be lying in the hospital now bleeding to death, or having bits of surfboard removed from your intestine.

Well that will teach you to stand up won't it? (And to surf from the suck rock at low tide.)

Hahahaha this bloke never ceases to crack me up. He doesn't even surf northy point, sitting on the shoulder in the channel doesn't count. It's not even that gnarly, it goes deep right behind the ledge so even if ya do get flogged ya usually don't hit bottom, just a long hold down. Although it does owe me a few boards, it's heavy, I'll give it that.

I used to be on this place every day, in fact I rarely surfed anywhere else, these days there's too much sand around it and it's not as heavy and closes out too much, plus I've moved out of Narrabeen and I got a better wave right on my doorstep. I've surfed it in ever swell direction, I know exactly how it breaks, I'm just saying that you're full of it and you're talking up a pooncy wipeout as some sort of life and death situation. If you're really so hard core send me a PM and I'll come out for a sesh with ya out there when it's got some size and you can prove how hard ya charge.

wallopers got it right, even if you do fall out there, you very rarely hit the bottom, even at 5-6ft (biggest I've surfed it).
