No, but I used to dream of being able to live in a chicken coop. Aye, the luxury, curling up in that warm straw every night, being fed every day.

Aye, that's the life for me.

Yeah, sorry mate, the ride reports have been hidden in the flat decks thread.

Its been a super fun board to be honest. It was designed for mush and small stuff but its turning out to be a really really fun board for anything close to double overhead.

I would describe it as the average surfer's Wizard Sleeve, or a really fun and user friendly mini-board. It follows all of the same principles of the Wizard Sleeve in terms of low swing weight to make it easier to throw around, shorter to fit into tighter spots, flatter rocker for speed but more outline curve in the tail to regain the turning circle, redistribution of foam to make a very short board paddle well.

It has all of that, plus this amazing feel from the flat deck which makes it really responsive but forgiving at the same time. Its almost like you need a lot less leverage to bury the rail, so as a high volume board it has a lot of spring and zap.

The ride is really fun. It paddles really easily, and draws a lot of speed from the low rocker and planing area. With quad fins in the furthest back position it can be thrown around some very tight hooks, and with the speed and buoyancy it loves to go into and over lips. The pulled in tail and low swing weight give it a surprising short turning circle if you want it, especially for such a wide board.

It does surf small waves as well (I hope so seeing thats what it was designed for). Its especially fun in really small waves as a twin, rocket speed and lots of release, and fun to try to keep up with it :)

Its turned into the only board I've been riding since I bought it, despite having another semi-new board that I could ride as well (eeek, what have I done? haha). The most fun surf has been at a wally but semi-fat point break seeing as its so easy to throw around tight arcs, but it also has the speed and glide to do wide swooping turns. It handles late take-offs really well too surprisingly, its hard to find many drawbacks for most waves up to double overhead.

Hey nathan
How would you rate the the Hayden's shredsled against the Mollusc and Nick Blair boards you wrote about earlier in the thread.

And did you ride the shredsled as a thruster or quad?
