I was up there watching it for work and although I don't like AI (due to what I have seen and read not knowing him personally) he is in an elite group of about 6 surfers who are head and shoulders above the rest of the 44 with daylight second. You don't get an appreciation for it until you see them surf in the flesh but the boy rips

I met AI at Blueys about 5 years ago, he was the most arrogant prick I've ever met, Bruce also though not quite so bad.

The chicks were absolutely gagging for it though.

Having said that they seem to have grown up a lot since then, I still can't let go of my dislike for AI though, especially since he beat slater.

AI
Slater
Bruce Irons
Parko
Fanning
Dingo
Taj maybe as he is quite flicky compared to the other guys who have genuine power

Also look for big things from Wardo and Bede they ripped

Don't let Kelly fool you he has a pretty healthy ego as well he just knows how to handle it better than AI becoz Slater cares what people think of him as if you read his book you would know he is quite insecure believe it or not
