It's neither good nor bad, it's just a thing. Naturally pain reaction from the tiny tears that you create in your muscles when you put strain on them.

I think the question is whether existence or absence of DOMS is related to effectiveness of the exercise

I started early.

I'm thinking sometime next year is going to be the biggest and best day ever at the Ox and I want to be in shape for it.
Unlike these flabby titted cube monkeys I'm going for excellence.

What have you been doing?

Went for my first outdoor/ non treadmill run today in about 2years due to a knee injury. Probably stupid but from not running my hips and ankles are seizing up no matter what other mobility work I do. Anyway, had DOMS during the run. Tomorrow should be exciting

kettlebells, push-ups, chin-ups, combinations of swissball exercises, hill climbs on a bike.
