Appreciate the review.
I'm staying very conservative and using terrain management but if I move to Europe or find some decent touring buddies I'll get one, probably the Avabag with the Litric system and the swappable pack sizes for hut tours.

Massive amount of snow starting to get dumped in the Sierra's - Tahoe will be closed tomorrow due to blizzard conditions

I've booked my lift pass for my boy and I at Dodge Ridge next Sunday - get on it Boo!

I hope you mean the 9th? No chance you'll make it this weekend.
The forecast for the higher points is 160km/h winds and up to 12ft of snow.

It goes without saying but because you'll be frothing, the avalanche danger will be insane and it's not a good time to experiment off piste if you are a beginner.

I'm waxing my powder board this weekend, may see you on the hill next Sunday.
The Indy Pass is being re-opened for purchase this week and allows 2 days at a few local smaller places. It's worth checking out if you want variety.

I have not my friend, worth the extra 30 minutes to travel?

I'm going to Dodge Ridge on Sunday with the boy. Aiming to get there around 08:30 at the latest as I'm expecting it to be busy.

Haven't been to either. Weighing my options for Sunday.

Grooter I blame you specifically for the great weather we are having, ever since you bought your gear.

If you are interested, the Indy Pass goes off sale today. I got one for next season.

8 minute vid. New longest ski jump world record. There’s a lot of planning goes into it.

I was a little underwhelmed by that jump given the prep, to be honest. It shows just how good the world record is off a standard jump.
We went to the jump just outside Oslo and they have a really cool ski museum, everything from cross country to ski jumping.

Anyone been to Turkey for skiing? Some of the backcountry looks pretty amazing. Seems like an option for combining culture and snow.

Do you have to pronounce it Türkiye ?
I don’t think I could keep that up for long.

I do too. Steve. Surprisingly hard to find here.
I prefer Afghan bread though.
