Flying to Noosa

Post by AC » Wed Jul 25, 2007 5:47 pm

I'm taking the family to Noosa in September, and am a little unsure on a couple of things:

Any suggestions of which boards to take - 6' Fish, 6'3" rounded pin, 9'2" high performance longboard or 9'6" classis noserider (or a couple)?

Any issues people have had with flying with longboards with Qantas?

Any issues witth hire car companies providing roof racks, or take soft racks?

Any info is good. Many thanks.

In September it is highly unlikely that you will be surfing the points so probably better off with a shortboard for Sunshine and south.

Go with another family so that you have someone to surf with and to cut the odds in half. Also, when you get bored shitless at least you can have sex with someone else’s missus for a change. A man can only take so many markets, shopping trips and meaningless conversations over expensive dinners. Noosa, usually March to May only. Although September was good in ’66……

if you fly jetstar they wont carry a mal. they have a lenght limit of around 6'10 or so. check their website.

you wont need a wettie, only a thermal top.

you will get waves at sunshine/peregian as well as A bay, but thats about it.

enjoy
