Been watching this since the beginning.

Interesting dynamics.

In some places on the western edge of Pumicestone Passage sand deposits are covering the mangrove mudflats.

There's a raised walkway through the mangroves just south of the opening and the sand build up in there and in the Passage alongside the mangroves is significant.

Homeowners along the Passage continue to express concerns about erosion but I still can't see it.
Rather, the way the sand is building up, the opposite is happening at the moment.

Those Golden Beach numpties should be ignored.

The mouth moving further south reduces the current velocity along that eroding stretch.

Absolutely.
Although they also paint a picture of the surf rolling up across the road into their properties.
Which from what I can see isn't going to happen.

Wow, Steve put me onto this thread. Didn’t know what I was missing. The smooth flow of discourse. The cadence of the dialogue. Pithy comments. All so in touch with the topic.
Thanks, Steve.
Great work, Trev.

Trev you're right, the sand will just roll backwards and eventually join up on the landward side.

Boo, there's a FB page called Bluey's Photography.
I know you don't do FB but I'm sure you'll have some sort of access.
They have just come back from a tour around Australia with their drone and they have some awesome shots of the Passage currently.

Go back far enough on their page and there are pics right back to the beginning of this washover.

Few reports down at the south end from blokes chasing flatties.

I'll take a look Trev, seen some of their pics before.
