Weird, usually much bigger here than there in these swells.
Glad you’re getting back into it.

Slight change in direction and extra period reduced the size discrepancy .

Also it was much smaller on the beachies, Point was hoovering in the sets.

Big at Bronte. Breaking way, way out with about 6 guys sitting there. Didn’t see anyone catch a wave. Both inside and outside Bombies at South Coogee we’re working. Guy on a foil caught a fcuking monster out the back with a tow in. Ended up getting smashed. Earlier he had ridden the swell right around to the north side of Wedding Cake from the south side. Inside didn’t look that good but clean and big. Maybe six guys on the inside and three waiting on the outside.

Saw some footage of Bondi closeouts.

Pumping.
took out the 6'6"and glad I did, the sets had plenty of water in them and were breaking hard into the offshore wind.

The quad was throwing me out of the bottom turns with way more speed than I was getting on the mid-length so my turn placement and timing was a bit second hand.
Still threw some buckets though.

Spent a couple of hours in the paddocks afterwards getting the lantana, Senna and Camphor laurel saplings under control.

Damn, that felt good.
You will never get camphor laurel under control. Fcuking pest. Good timber for keeping clothes moth free though.

True, can't let the seedlings that are now saplings turn into massive trees though.

Had the remains of one in our backyard at Castle Hill.
Zero/ Roundup just killed the shoots which came back within 6 months.
Eventually I excavated a whole terrace down about 2 feet to access the stump.

No sign of it when we sold 10 years later.

I grew up with two in the front yard and another five in the school yard next door. All cut back to ground level twice. The first time they all regrew around the lopping. Second time they coated the stumps with creosote. Finally killed them. Water in the water tanks used to be purple from the berries and taste like camphor.

Cut them with an axe or loppers, round-up on freshly cut tissue.

it's just control measures to ensure saplings don't become trees.

Next door neighbours planted a bay laurel they had in a pot when they sold up 10 or 15 years ago. It’s now three stories high. Suckers everywhere. Covered in scale. The suckers are a constant chore. Then again they’ve got the descendants of the banana stools I planted and hacked out in our yard.

This is more confounding than Steve’s dentistry analogy.

Easy to see who didn’t grow up in a banana growing region, THE MIGHTY SUNTURD.
