Just thinking that it could be a factor.

What’s the consensus on the best legrope for up to DOH for build quality and least likely to snap?

I’ve tried all the generic brands, and they’ll all snap in given situations.

Is there some product or tech out there that’s substantially better, more dependable, less likely to snap? As they all seem pretty equivalent so far.
Dakine make a 7' leash with 8mm diameter cord, all fittings over engineered compared to other brands, and just $45. I've broken about 5 other leashes in the last 3 years. Still in production I was told a few days ago - yellow and black packaging.

I snapped one of those o&e worlds strongest ones in png. It was a couple of years old though. I don’t like them they’re too thick and get in the way.

Mine usually go near the ankle strap horn that's supposed to stop entanglement, the ones without the horn are less likely to break.

Unlikely in the middle of winter. Cars lucky to get to 20 degrees inside.

I remember reading something on here or maybe Swellnet from a guy who worked for a leg rope company. He said the critical factor is the age of the leg rope regardless of what it’s been through. Even brand new ones still in the packaging are unreliable after a certain time. Can’t remember, maybe 12 or 18 months and they won’t sell them.

That's the one. I said 7' but wasn't really sure about the length. Its the best around that I've seen, and cheaper that most.

Incorrect, Beans. A car left in 20 degree heat for 2 hours will reach 45 degrees inside the vehicle.

I meant a car left in 14 degree heat might reach 20 degrees Jimny.

Wrong again Beans. 14 degrees outside means 39 degrees inside the car after 2 hours.

Wouldn’t full sun, partial sun, shade play a significant role?

You’d assume so, Buddy. I’m no scientist but it stands to reason that a substance like polyurethane would degrade after a while. Especially if heat exposure is a factor.
I’ve only surfed with Iggs a couple of times. But he seemed to have a few boards in the back of the Ford wagon. 😂
I had a board from Firko up here when I was commuting from Sydney every week and I left it in my QLD car. Board was fucked after a few months. People know not to leave boards in cars for too long but surely there could be an impact on the leggie?
I’m just surmising. We should defer to Beans though. He’s got all the answers.

All the answers like the temperatures in Sydney in the middle of Winter
Apparently it gets to 40 degrees in the cars though.
Have I told you about the nifty seat warmer I’ve got in my new car?
So we are talking about a plastic leg rope that will degrade if left in a car in the middle of winter in Sydney for two or so weeks.
