One of the many hipsters around here this weekend has written life affirming messages in chalk all over the path to the point.
Best was Fish Are Friends next to the boat ramp fish gutting station.

This needs further comment after four days of watching said elegant ladies snake and drop in on all and sundry before tip toeing to the nose of their huge mals and adopting a pose for the entire wave. Some were exaggerating their hand positioning in an attempt to appear in control of the careering legropeless juggernaut. Quite a few were Euroes and hadn’t quite worked out their behaviour might antagonise the crowd if taken to extreme but had probably rightly assessed they could get away with it due to said nice derrières and the weight of numbers.
A few of the Euroes were dressed to the nines on land in tailored beach outfits and shell necklaces. Sitting elegantly in camp chairs watching the surf with their equally attired boyfriends. Everyone shooting the scene for posting on social media.

Plenty of boards to stand on walking up to the point. Thousands of dollars worth of trad longboards. Crescent has reached peak hipster now I reckon. Full retro 70s fashion.
My tuflite is vintage in the wrong way for the trad mal aficionado.

Missed out on Yamba this trip. Was going to Noosa.
While I can find proficient hypster log riders annoying it’s obviously their time in the sun.
God knows I’ve taken advantage of the situation myself for twenty plus years of mal riding.
Good form to not completely hog the waves though.

More of a critique on a particular trend that reached the velocity to take over the line up.
Surfed pretty much identical waves there a week earlier with no one.
