Might take you up on that at some stage.
What does bamboo core do compared to honeycomb hex core?
The only ones I've tried are Machado thrusters and I hated them, but I'd say that would be more to do with the inside foil than the bamboo.
Floats, light and very stiff- other than that probably just cool factor.
I've never tried it tbh.

Poor old Loof gives you a fin and you don’t even use it?
How ungrateful can you get.

It was a good price.
I'll get to it eventually.

Wider scope for variation in single fins than quads or thrusters.

You reckon ?
Thrusters maybe, but quad setups and fin combinations are endless.

I bought it because it was cheap and a slightly bigger size to my 6.5.
Thought it would expand the range of bonzer.
As it turned out, I never felt the need to change.

As it turned out, my current experimentation was just riding a standard HPSB (Pyzel Pyzalien2) almost exclusively to see what would happen.
And it's been fcuking great.
Felt like I've done some of my best surfing which has been a revelation after a back injury dry-docked me for 6 months last year.

I’m using these twinzer fins in my current quad with the bigs in front.
Was my setup in my go to short board about 5-6 years ago.
I can’t fault it. Good balance of speed and drive, hold and release.
Bit of similarity to the NPJ quartet and CI Dane Reynolds Twad.

Looks like way too much fin for that tail?
Unless you're trying to make it surf longer, or you're pivoting off the fronts.

Might be an illusion.
I’ll take some photos from another angle later.
Not too much at all.

What’s the board? With those x large fronts and very small rears it’s quite a different setup to the usual quad sets.

Well I meant per fin. Plenty to play around with with the other set ups though.

Here’s the bottom of the board.
I just measured the fins.
Bigs 133 high, 120 base.
Smalls 75 high, 80 base.
Quite a bit smaller than the curved fins that Will Webber recommends for the board. Well, the rears are.
WWCF - Will Webber Curved Fronts (M) $125 - 135mm high 120mm base. Front fins for under 90kgs.
WWCR - Will Webber Curved Rears (S) $115 - 125 mm high 110mm base. Quad rears, groms, side bites in Mals.
