What are your thoughts re having the WSL bring a comp to your beach Lucky Al?
Doesn't look much worse than Rio.
It is worse than Rio. Much worse. And no one in the village has ever heard of Kelly or John John or Gabriel or anyone. No point in having a comp at our beach.

They have the World Longboarding Champs in Hainan, China. A bit more swell though.

That’s exactly the expansion market they are looking for!

Yeah, idyllic is the go. The Lucky Al moniker would also come true in the financial sense and Al would find some other remote location to carry on with.

….this was pushing off the wall not diving in.

...running out of breath underwater hasn’t been an issue. Not too bad for a 62 y/o who surfs irregularly.

I’ll wear it until May/June.

Yes I need it now. I can’t recall anyone just in boardie’s this morning, the odd wettie top.

But, you know that whole asinine conversation about what people wear and what time of the year? Let’s not have it. I put it on par with the two swells in the water convo or listening to old blokes talk about surf trips loudly in the water (and they can barely get their guts off the board in 2-3ft surf).

Why the sudden aversion to asinine conversation?

Speaking of old blokes with asinine conversation......I bought a new springy about a month ago and haven't used it yet. Might give it a crack soon though.

Guys are still wearing full steamers around here. Not to mention the kiters, who have full steamers with boardies over the top.

Up at the superbank you still see the odd Asian wearing a steamer in the middle of summer.

If you were going to stay for a week somewhere on the Sth coast NSW with a mix of competent surfers and a few kooks that have a go, where would it be?

Late autumn or winter.
