Mick is the Cooper Cronk of surfing. You have to acknowledge he’s awesome but, he’s boring to watch.

I’m a Fanno fan, but I have zero desire to see him surf another heat. What’s the point?
I also reckon this cameo wasn’t Fanno’s idea.

I think he'd originally agreed to do the Bells contest, being the 60th Anniversary year and all, but when it was canned, well NN it is then.

It'll be interesting to see.

I thought it was great.
Big, clean, best air by far in a comp by the chicks so far (that I’m aware of).

Good on her. I'm surprised with how hard the women rip that it was the first one in a comp.

It wasn't the first one in comp, but it was the best one.

Coastalwatch had been shit for years as well though.
I’d only venture over there if Nick linked his article in here.

Someone posted this Caio Ibelli instagram link on Swellnet.
Caio is saying it’s his first wave at North Narra for 10 years. Good memories. Coming 3rd in his debut on the international stage in a junior contest.

His first wave there in 10 years is a pretty decent wave!

I could see about 8 moments in that ride where I would've gone over the handlebars.

Shame it won’t be anything like that for the comp.

I would love to see some of the top foreign guys like Gabriel, Italo and John John come down and surf Sandon on a good day!

LuckyAl I saw Owen Wright out there once on a freezing, big and windy day. He made it look like a little 2 foot beachie, absolutely ripped the shit out of it.

He was like, Wah-POW!

I remember some wheelchair xylophonist getting all macho about how he liked to smash absolutely heaps of Weetbix before a hard day's roofing

i was out at Snapper close to Jack Freestone throwing some big airs on an overhead day. The visual was something I’d become used to from clips, but I was surprised by the loudness of the noise as he blasted off the lip. The sound was thrilling.

Thoughts on this fella's surfing? Around 11mins his first wave at J Bay is a cracker. No TC but pretty damn good. I'm not too familiar with him.
