Nusa Dua never really attracted me as a wave. From staying there with the kids and the videos I’ve seen it seems pretty sketchy a lot of the time. Compared to most other waves over there. Kind of like Hyatt Reef at Sanur.

A groveler and one for regular waves. Or just one board for everything.steve shearer wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:05 pmWhat boards do you reckon I should take to Bali Cranked- for 4ft Nusa Dua?
Winds will be light and variable all day, swell small to medium so you can hit both the Nusa Dua side and Ulus.
Nusa Dua will be crowded with surf schools but just go further north along the reef to lose them.
I've often scored Temples with only a few out at this time of year. That was when the cliffs were accessible though and a surf check only took five minutes from where I used to stay.
It might be crap early morning but there's a possibility it will go perfectly offshore on either side for an hour or two later on.

Geger is the main wave I’ve ever surfed in Bali.
I like it.
Probably crowded these days, like everywhere else.
Early morning could be good though cos a lot of people transport there from elsewhere in wet season.

I’ve surfed Ulus, Canggu, Green Balls, Serengan, Medewi, Balian, Hyatt Reef, Kuta Reef, Kuta and Legian in the old days. Also get fun beach breaks down from Ku De Ta quite often when we stay down that end of Seminyak.

I would but I put a big split in the tail during one of those hollow days in winter and haven't fixed it.

Might take 3 boards.
Was thinking a 6'1" Sabotaj as a shorty.
6'6" DS as a step-up.
6'8" middy as a crowd controller or groveller.

Although real estate agent has been a popular career option for top surfers. Ted Spencer, Mark Warren, Kingsley Looker and Allen Sarlo immediately come to mind.
More broadly though, it is a career option open to retired sports stars.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.
