Would it loosen up with use?

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

My CSkins gets stiff over summer but two sessions and it's as flexible as it ever was.

Possibly Trev.

I'll give it a few goes and report back.

I guess it’s related to age, Trev
Often gets stiff in the morning too.

Thats nice.

I actually think for places like Perth and most of the East Coast where water and air temps are mild you generally can get away with mid priced suits.

For cold water though- get the best.

No, it's not "features" which are lacking.

I don't need bells and whistles.

It's just the stiffness of the rubber.

Mid priced suits were actually better value in some respects because they were hitting a sweet spot between flexibility and durability.

That advantage now seems to have evaporated- plus I can't actually get the combination of rubber thicknesses I require from any off the rack suit from major manufacturers.

The 4/3 Buell arrived.
Haven't tried it on but it's a lot less flexible than the 3/2 O'Neil, and probably twice as thick. Glued seams, fleece on the torso.
It looks warm and functional, it doesn't look high end.

I'll probably get a Yamamoto suit later in the season for comparison and because I hate putting on a wet wetsuit in the cold.

There definitely seems to be some reduction in the quality of neoprene available for "low" end suits compared to the Yamamoto rubber.

Might be some cost cutting according to the price of petrol-chems.

The O'Neill is a mid to upper suit and doesn't use Yamamoto. It's something stupid like techno butter

The limestone suits are a middle ground.

Feral makes a 2/2 Yamamoto backzip long sleeve springy, but it's $220 USD and out of stock for a month.

I can get a 2/2.

I want a 3/2.

But I'll still look at that 2/2 Feral.

Isurus also makes a 2/2 LS Spring.

2/2 with the Yamamoto 40 is supposedly as warm as a 3/2 because it's 98% water impermeable

You hated the Isurus didn't you?

I actually learned to love it.

But there's no way that 2/2 is as warm as a 3/2.

Conductive and convective cooling laws still apply.

I hate steamers.

I hate wetsuits.

A LS Spring is just easier to get on and off and thus I ride more waves.

I have a high end Steamer- an Isurus 2/2 zipper less steamer.

You'll still be in the carpark while I am in the water riding set waves.

Fact.
