I went back out for Rd 2 in the 2mm Isurus.

No doubt Yamamoto rubber offers a level of deluxation that people who use big box/chain store brands like Leej and Godsave wouldn't understand.

I’ve got the 7 seas 4/3 (it’s more upper/mid than top of the line). I know some of the fatties on here found it a bit tight but I rate it

First review of the Isurus 3/3 zipless.

Water temp was 14 by the buoy data. Air temp about the same. No wind. No sun for the first half hour either as there's a big cliff.
Small, long period south swell with lots of lulls. Plenty of sitting around.

Quality: pretty great, on par with Matuse. It's on the thin side of 3mm, but not as thin as the arms on an O'Neill that's a 3.5:2.5mm.
The heat-sealed seams on the arms remind me of a 2010ish Xcel Infinity. Hopefully they won't also start to leak like a sieve after one winter.

Fit and comfort: amazing. Most true-to-size and surfer-shaped steamer I've ever had. Also one of the most flexible since those disposable Rip Curl e-bombs of 2005 or so. Very easy to get on and off. It is marketed as a 'compression wetsuit', I didn't work hard enough to know if it does anything for recovery or longer sessions, that's probably bullshit. No flushing at all, neck is super comfortable.

Side note - zipless wetsuits are a solution looking for a problem. I didn't have Shearer-level difficulties, but it requires a contortion that's pointless. Chest zips for the win.

Paddling: fantastic, the arms-up design is great.

Warmth: no fucking way is this the equivalent of a 4:3. Initially it felt colder than a 3:2, but I figured out it was because it was almost waterproof. Once I paddled around I was warm, and once I let some water in it was very comfortable. I surfed for about 90 minutes and there were dry patches on the inside. Given the absence of a fleecy liner it is still on the warmer end of a 3:2. Warmer than an O'Neill, not as warm as an Xcel.

It absorbs almost no water, so it dried in my car during work. A huge win for multiple surf days, as in winter here a wetsuit can take days to dry. This dries in a couple of hours.

Is it worth the money? Probably not if you're being totally rational, but the comfort and drying speed are pretty amazing.
Would I buy it again? No, I'd get a chest zip 4:3, but I probably would get another Isurus.

Also, mine was second hand when I bought it, and I never experienced the faster drying speed.

So assuming over time the Yamamoto Neoprene absorbs water like other varieties.

But yeah, definitely the most comfortable, easy paddling wetsuit I've ever had.
