NBs but not usual spot. A bit crowded including a guy on a surf ski (who could surf thank god). Beach has easy parking.

Decided to hit the right as the tide was still just up enough. Left was way crowded as usual. You had to pick the right wave given the quickly dropping tide but scored plenty of waves. Wish they gave better warnings about the smoke haze though.

Groundhog Day. Wednesday also good. Today even better if you picked your waves.

A bit dribble but snared a few. Last one made the session worthwhile.

You get in the water almost every day eh Beanpole. I'm a bit envious. Gotta get back to a surf coast.

Santa Cruz. Nothing special really as it's a bit flat here at the moment but got some nice rides on the mal and chatted with the local ladies in the cool spring water

Its been a week of spectacular fails in the Mandurah area for Surf_forecast.com. Forecasting endless waves in the 2-2.5m with 19s period range and it staying at around 1m and struggling to even hit 1.5m and a gutless 12s period. I spent a few complete days hanging around various breaks waiting for the swells that never came, now I'm staying home until the buoy at Mandurah registers something surfable before I make a move.

Checked with Surfline and their predictions were about the same.

The wave buoy at Mandurah is pretty spot on for the surf forecast software dudes to hindcast the quality of their predictive software. Unusually, even the Rottnest buoy was recording only 1 to 1.5m most of the week

Think I'll have to start going north to Legion territory to find some decent waves.

And now that it's night time the Mandurah buoy is reading 2m at 16s and trending steeply up.
