Went out at Bondi. Swell is dropping rapidly. Only about 6 people out at Bronte. Bondi packed. My stiff back didn’t make catching waves any easier. Got a couple and blew a couple. Too crowded and I found myself cursing anyone who came near me. Classic Bondi style waves…….close out or just the right size or not breaking if too small. Also pitching if it was on the big side of medium.

Fcuk what a morning. A truly magic hour before the crowd killed it, for the first time in a while I was in the spot for a few dead calm lined up glorious walls. My 6'1 Outer Island just loves that wave.

The colour of the water, green-gold with the gentle sun. So good.

I remember some wheelchair xylophonist getting all macho about how he liked to smash absolutely heaps of Weetbix before a hard day's roofing

I hope Loofy doesn't catch wind of this surf spot security breech. There will be hell to pay.

I can feel the end of ground swell days. Surf had that floppy weakness most of us dread.

It required a disciplined approach to score a long ride. I arsed one at the start then pissed around in the crowd before returning to my original starting spot and nabbing a few.

Even smaller today. Finished with a classic fade. Guy who had been trying to dominate  the micro line up was paddling back out after I had let him take the last one and he decided to paddle inside me and attempt a pathetic claim as we approached the inside peak. Not on my watch compadre.
