This morning was special. I felt like I was in Indo, surfing a reef pass. Inconsistent, but the water was dead still, tropical warm and oily smooth as 3-4 ft sets would come in and break all the way down past the sheds. A handful of locals out, I surfed NC's Al Byrne 6-channel- perfect board for the conditions. Unreal

Late arvo session north Maroubra on the incoming tide. Wind was light moderate with only slight ruffle, the faces were clean.

4-5 foot and punching above it’s size. Felt more like 6+. Easy paddle out, shifting take off zone, deep then wide. All about wave selection today.

Got a few screamers that linked all the way thru, four consecutive backhand snaps on the last wave in, the 6’3 McCoy swinging like a pendulum top to bottom.

Cranked would’ve blown his load.

Is there any POV Gopro footage from a non-pro surfer that doesn't look shithouse?

I spent a few months down in Tassy last year, and getting cerebral palsy in the hands after an hour or so in the surf is only funny the first time.

Surfing most of the last week bar yesterday. It was too solid for this old fella. A handful of 20-30 somethings on semi/step ups scoring double overhead sets. Good to watch though.

To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

Leaving aside the fact that the water probably isn’t cold enough even for boots let alone gloves, why didn’t you wear proper gloves?
