Fair enough.

By my records, best Summer since 2015/16.
I moved up the summer before that.
I don’t keep surfing records as detailed as you so I’ll go with that.

I've surfed more uncrowded fun waves this Summer than ever.

B-grade Point surf has been pretty much untouched.

Surfed a hipster/chick wave this morning and it was tiny and packed.

I surfed an empty peak at a very crowded beach with my son yesterday, surprised that it was in easy sight in the middle of the beach, most were surfing a further down the beach. Yet we had an hour before anyone paddled down to join us, surprised that can still happen in Sydney.

Demographics are changing, lots of kooks and generally clueless people surfing.

If you have the capacity for independent thought it's amazing what lies hidden in plain sight.

A fancy way of saying…..if you know what a good wave looks like and you keep your eyes open you may find one that others have missed.

Just trying to simplify Steve’s grandiose gobbledygook wordsalad. :-D-:
Calling someone an independent thinker because they can snare a few more waves than a novice?

It’s been an atrocious summer of waves down here. Maybe only a couple of days over 3ft. It killed me watching the superbank cam during that last run of swell.

The sheep factor with where to surf is still very prevalent in surfing on people way beyond novice.

The sheep factor is also well used in getting everyone to move off the take off area. Look at me paddling over here.
You should all follow. Now look at me paddling back when the set turns up :-D-:

It seriously crossed my mind when the crowds seemed to thin out up there. I think everyone had their fill. Return Crapstar ticket to Cooly. Cheap hire car. Cheap motel. Couple of days surfing. Probably cost under $500.

Shock, horror I am actually away from the jewel of the East for a couple of days. Mediocre tiny trimming today.
You have to understand, Steve, that at my age making a point of surfing every day possible is part of my exercise regime.

Geez Im stiff and sore. Barely able to pop up after too much surf this last week. Really need to do some stretches. A few fun trimmers for the mal at an undisclosed location but missed a few due to slow reflexes getting up.

Everyone will be happy to know that after a few stretches I feel much better.

I had to go to Shellharbour for something, so I decided to check The Farm (being that there was supposed to be a long period south swell and north winds). I’d already surfed the point which was awfully underwhelming this morn, but anyway I drove into Killalea park and watched in horror at the many many people getting suited up in the top car parks. As I cruised down to the break the crowd swelled, Sydney cool bros mixed with south coast Dads, mid length the standard or hapless HPS eternal frothers, vying madly for parks like Beanpole on a Bondi afternoon.

100s of surfers in the water scratching for fat close outs, the ultimate Dad Wave in full effect. I quickly got the fcuk outta there.

The Farm is the new Garie (in that Sydney surfers swarm it)
