On a roll.
Surf looked absolutely horrible.
On closer inspection there was a little 2-3 ft reform.
Thought it might be hard to find them but as I’m committed to the daily grind I had a go.
Turned out to be really easy.
3 laps 3 waves 3 turns on each. And they actually had a really good shape and pocket, and an easy speed. Done in 15.
Quit while you’re ahead.

man, had a shocker yesterday. Pumping Point, amazing. Pulled up around 3pm, not too crowded, 6 foot sets. Epic.

As I suited up, I reckon 100+ people were doing the same thing! All the local teen rippers, top notch locals, not so good blow ins, the whole shebang.

It was bedlam out there, I got nada. I felt unfit, out of sync and in need of a fresh stick to inspire me. The Sydney commute has killed my surfing!

Okay, hit it at lunchtime. Scored a wide set wave straight up and basically just repeated that for the next half hour. Most waves I’ve caught in ages.

A few bumpy screamers off the point at north end this arvo. Some fast sections to wind down. Got pitched on takeoff a couple of times, hard trying nail backhand takeoffs mid-air when the face disappears under you.

Had a bash this morning. Way more fun than expected. 80% of the waves were breaking 3 mtrs inside where everyone was sitting. Caught about 8 waves before anyone woke up. Then the crowd jumped and the sets backed right off. Water is great.

Two great surfs today.
2nd one, by myself, bait ball came right by me and something I couldn't identify, or multiple of them, having repetitive cracks at it.
Feet up until it passed to the north.

Day 28 straight surfing.
Now that the swell’s dropped, this town has been rediscovered by the northern brethren.
So I’ve been in and done by 6.30-7am before it gets too crazy. Leave before getting frustrated.
