Sounds very similar to the hakuba mountains. Crowd halved after lunch as the tourists headed for the bars.

Washy but overhead and building point/reef on the coal coast. Fair few punters out. Mostly average but got a couple of crackers. One was about 5 foot and pretty solid and ran all the way through to the beach. Surfed the old pintail single. Love that board on point breaks.

Wish this low would shift a bit east, going to be a washing machine down the coast.

SW this morning. Watched a few guys out at cowries pre dawn this morning. Sets looked good. Probably 20 guys out there now. I'm hoping to find something smaller, and not breaking over rocks tomorrow.

Got some pics sent thru just now from a mate on the Central Coast. Forresters looks ten foot plus, easy.

Dunno what happened to that south swell.
Drove around like a headless chicken trying to find waves this morning, everywhere was funky. Ended up surfing a beachie with surprisingly good banks. Waves were kind of swinging in from the ENE but then breaking right.
Standing up pretty well but in a sort of ponderous way.

Standup backhand barrel on a single fin, I'm buzzing hours later.Hanson could get the balance of power and I'd still be happy

Went for a swim at Bronte and watched the surprisingly heavy crew taking off in front of the baths. Actually saw someone get a hollow one across the reef but most of them were just big closey outy lumps. Not as gnarly as yesterday. Watched the small crew get well and truly flogged yesterday arvo.

Surfing really south and very close to the pool on high tide this morning,
Not way out like yesterday. Basically riding right across the inner part of the reef. Plenty of rocks in there if you got decked I imagine.

Hatchy, any major floggings at Cronulla?
The few times I've surfed the point I really noticed how heavy the more solid ones broke compared to your regular sized ones.

No nasty hidings but One dude pulled into a barrel he didn't make it out of. The bigger ones were pretty solid. The bigger concern as the morning kicked on was the crowds and the sun rising up blinding you.
