I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Today a 2.6m high and a 0.0 low, that's a lot of water moving in or out in under 6 hours

I remember seeing footage of Balangan draining the whole reef on a biggish day. Looked like a nightmare to get in.

Nah, can’t afford it. Interest rates killing me

Fella down the road has a Dominantor 2 he’s shifting. If I can get cheap might grab

Worst board I ever bought was a Dominator. Last newboard as well.

Dominator 2 very different. I saw the paid advertising review from the Surf and Show guy and it looked pretty good. But, he’s a very good surfer IMHO

But, out of interest why was it such a dog?

Okay. It had a very fat round tail with very sharp rails on the tail. If I took off on a steep wave backhand and turned off the bottom it would completely spin out. Every wave. Only board I have ever had this trouble with. Maybe bigger fins would have worked. If it had a quad option maybe that would work. I bought it just before I went on a trip to Bali and fortunately I was mainly surfing rights over there that trip. You could nurse it off the bottom forehand.
Annoyingly there was a secondhand Carver Fish in the shop I was interested in but the sales guy blathered on about the Dominator. Saying it would go great.
More suited to grovelling.
On a later trip I had actually bought another Carver Fish and that went great.

New carver fish nearly $2000 from McTavish

Yeh, that tail on the original Dominantor looks ridiculous

2hours yesterday at the northerly protected local spot.
Then a bit more than 2 hours this morning at my local point, thanks to an overnight souwesterly.

Swell could be a bit bigger though. And a longer period would be nice.

Not really complaining though.
Just sitting out the back in the sun having coffee right now.

I caught a wave through from the outside bank to the shorey on the weekend and it sucked completely dry, I was left standing on dry sand inside the barrel. Still getting sand out of my orifices.

Sent this surf report to a mate:

Good conditions today 2000kJ/6' now, jumping to 4000kJ/8' soon (some sets gonna be double overhead I reckon). Only 15 out the front and 10 further down. Crowded at Padang, starting to fire.

Had the surf I thought I was going to have yesterday. Scored heaps of fun little peelers across three banks. If you caught one across you could get one back from the next bank. Crowds spread out. Chilly wind.
