No. Good point

Big issue here is the short duration and speed of compounding. Control issues. As in there will be no turning back once the Rubicon has been crossed.

2-3ft soupy north Maroubra late afternoon. Swell had a bit more east in it, cross-onshore winds but some Ok bowl sections. Last wave was a left that held up long enough for four consecutive backhand snaps. No point paddling out for another after that, best finish on a high note

Who isn’t anxious about the future of the planet. It’s not so much climate etc. the earth regulates when required. It’s more about the introduction of technology and how it’s making people dumber not smarter. This AI Chat stuff is dangerous.

I had my first surfs back in OZ today. Earlier at Dbah which was small but fun on the low tide and then headed down to Caba this arvo. Shit wave as discussed before but it felt nice to just sit in the warm water with boardies on and appreciate the beauty of the area. I love driving back the the GC in the afternoon through those cane fields.
I feel like I’m back to normal after feeling massively jet lagged all week. Can’t wait for some decent swell now.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Yep Thudster. Having been in five countries in a month and seeing the good and bad that each has to offer. We do live in a remarkable country.

I’m not a stallion like you Steve. The closest I got was with a girl who had been here and understood the Aussie way and wants to come back. Despite being incredibly beautiful. I found most of them somewhat detached in their own country.

OK.
Didn't think to here were any left up that far. Just had a look at a map and I see there's a whole new road, Twed Valley Way which pretty much bypasses Kingscliff.
Last time I went to Bogangar I used Wommin Bay Rd and through Kingscliff itself.

Actually I'm surprised there's enough cane around to keep the Condong Mill going.

I drove down that way but enjoy the scenery more if I chuck a left at the roundabout on the way out of the town.

I know
But it's still a relatively small catchment area in a rapidly developing region.
The Beenleigh one went years ago.
So did Nambour.
Pretty sure I've read about closure discussions on one further north.

Gotta report that after a good start last week the surf this week has been pretty terrible, and more to come.

Still, way, way better than Perth and only a couple in the water.

I could drive 30 minutes to the other side, but I can't be bothered.

Things can change quickly.

Two great sessions this morning at two different breaks about a half klm apart.
Total nearly 2½ hours.
Only shitty moment was the no legrope, finless rider who dropped in on me and lost his board. It was a long ride from right out the back but this put me into the white water for about 50 metres.
