I’m on holidays this week and I’ve decided to something weird tomorrow.
Rather than get up for the early. I’m gonna sleep in and have a good breakfast. Then I’m gonna drive to Cooly and get a park and then I’m gonna walk to Rainbow and park myself under a tree near where Greeny starts.
I’ll watch the surf and paddle out when I want. That little stretch at Rainbow turns on ridiculously at times.
I’m gonna take two boards and a day pack with water etc. and I’ll go around to get some hot chips when I’m hungry.
I can’t fucking wait.

Definitely a mature approach, Jimbo. A few years ago I had been to a reunion then visited friends at Nimbin. Had lunch at Clark’s which cost a fortune. Pulled into the Greenmount Carpark the next day and had the day to kill. Spent the day surfing and bought a Sanger from 7/11 for $5. Fcuking great.

Kinda of a surf on the NBs but the banks have been battered by the recent big swells plus the school holiday crowds.

Well my self-imposed break until after school holidays has just become a government-imposed break, after copping a dirty rat test. Couldn't have come at a better time

I surfed centreside at first light till after the Ewing baker heat. Went back out after the fanning Robson heat for a couple hours.
I think the difficulty of road access kept the crowd down.
And the pros stuck to winki and the Southside beachy.
I had so much fun in good quality waves.
Wore a 4/3 as that’s all I had but I was way too hot and restricts the paddling.

5’11 round tail pyzel phantom.
I just brought one board down to surf the pool and wherever.

If I had my quiver probably the 6’2 DS
But ideally a 6’2-6’4 more refined rail quad if I had one.

My mate had a 5’10ish flax Gary McNeil twinny that went really well out there.
Good for speed off the mark and then held through rail turns.
