Extremely sensitive to swell direction, which is why so many people get skunked when they think it should be pumping.

It will be quite special in the morning.
Correct.
Got some exceptionally long waves. The best one, took off between Nationals and Johnsons and finished up at past the rock at First Point.
Channel bottom was flying.

Those are the best waves to get.
Take off near the gum trees.
Long paddle back, hey?

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Was doing the run around to save the arms as the sweep was moving some water down the points.

It's getting bigger and better, will hit it again shortly.

Haha yeah. The sweep from Little Cove north across the front of First Point can be diabolical.

Stop it. Haven’t surfed Noosa since the 70s.
Nah, once in the early 80s as well.

Rainbow Greenmount was hectic today.
Paddled down to kirra and it was marginal but at least no one out.

Noosa was as good as it gets. Overhead breaking from the Pot through to 1st point. So good. Just got out, arms are rooted.

Surfed from 9-11.30.
Got 5 waves, only 2 decent ones and still not particularly memorable.

Bit the bullet and decided to surf Byron this arvo after work on the new board. Looked fun, few drainers in front of the kiosk. Decided to start up at the pass because it was uncrowded but it was too burgery so drifted down to the crowd at Clarke’s and had an absolute shocker just with how crowded it was.
Then when I decided I’d come in i saw up the line had a gap in the crowd so paddled up and a big corner came straight to me. Set a line in the pocket and got drained twice and that made up for the preceding hour plus some.
Came in, wasn’t gonna frustrate my self again.
Looked pumping when I was leaving though.

Haven’t tried any turns on the board yet.

Shoulder high to slightly overhead rip bowls. Surfed a single fin for the first time in about a year. Effortless glide, the board surfs itself. Need to get back on them more often.

Got the channel bottom into proper 4ft barreling beachies this morn. Only 4 guys out at a usually very busy spot. Waves seemed exactly what it’s meant for.
Last wave went so square and long and got a lot of meterage before the inevitable closeout and drilled into the sand.

Not been able to surf in Ballina has forced me to broaden my horizons which is kinda nice.

Sydney surf was pumping this morning. Must admit, it was hard to get motivated when my last wave at Noosa was from a section i snaffled near Nationals after a longboarder came off through to Main Beach.
