Noosa...turned on at dusk. The bonzer speed egg hammered from close to Boiling Pot through Nationals into little Cove. Longest waves in years.

Some epic waves to come, hoping to score DI Point tomorrow.

Lachie rombouts was out there the day I surfed it. Must’ve been 9 or 10 years ago. He was a lunatic pulling into anything and everything. Most of the time he was getting absolutely drilled but made it out of a couple.
Lachie was living at Bendalong for a while. My bro asked if I knew something to do the lawns and other stuff so I suggested Lachie. He went around the first time and did a great job so my bro said to sign him up. The deal was $400 a month which was way over the top I thought but whatever. Dickhead bro set up the direct debit for every week, not month. So old Lachie was getting $20K tax free to surf his arse off. It went on for nearly a year before my bro realised. 😂

I'm going early Friday morning (dawn patrol) because I've got to be a groomsman on the Friday/Saturday. Hopefully there's a bit around between 6-10 on Friday

Rough. Did your bro write that one off, or chase him for the cash?

On an unrelated note, does your brother need any landscaping/mowing done?

He wrote it off. He said when he raised it with him he was obviously pretty embarrassed. I thought he could’ve offered to keep mowing for free for a while.

And that, my friends, is why Lachie Rombouts surfs better than most of us. Even Loofs

For a kid that grew up in Hornsby, only later moving to the beach it’s pretty impressive he’s surfing at that level

Jimny and his bro are fabulously rich though Anna. They lose track of what they pay the hired help.

Slept in and missed the morning but got a sneaky lunch sesh in at greeny with barely anyone out. 6 waves in a half hour sesh, was happy with that.
Might come back up tomorrow for my day off before full holiday crowd kicks in.

Had a crack at an extremely windy Double Island Point today. Wasn't really working but could see the potential.

Have been hanging in Noosa, cancelled a few trips last year due to lockdowns so our trip here coincided with avoiding the Sydney rain.

Kids have been loving the waves at Rockwalls earlier in the week and having a crack at Little Cove at low tide.

Boo took me there. The main break was tiny and there were 100 4wds but there was a secret if you looked carefully. Well, not a secret, there were like 20 guys. But it was 2-3' when the main bay was flat
End section down near the boat channel marker was fun. Rest was just long sections of shutdowns but right tide, sand and swell would work well.

It’s not as good a wave as Noosa 99% of the time, but can score some uncrowded sections and it’s a nice getaway.
Back beach pumps sometimes too but crowded on weekends.
